Options Box

What's this?

The Options Box is a simple way to view tabs the way you like. This is done by giving you several options to choose from. Currently that includes the following.

Capo Option

The capo option let's you change the key of the tab enabling you to play it without a capo or use easier chords. When you open a tab page the capo will usually be set to the original key. You can change it by selecting a different option from the drop-down list and hit the apply button. Changing the capo will transpose all chords relative to the new key. But note that since tablatures cannot be transposed automatically they will simply disappear. To make it easier to return to the default setting, the entry in the drop-down list is higlighted.

Display Option

The display option allows you to choose how much information you want to see. The higher the setting, the more information is included but the longer the whole tab gets. The Settings are

tabs & chords

This is the most verbose and the default setting. It includes both chords and tabs wherever present.
This is best if you want to figure out the hard parts.

chords

This setting will omit all tabs, reducing the size of the page.
This is best if you've never played the song before and don't to get into detail yet.

chords (short)

This setting also omits all recurring chords. That means if every chorus has the same chords, they will only be included the first time. Furthermore if parts also equal in their lyrics, this setting will only show a short statement like repeat chorus.
This is best if you want to view the song on a small screen.
